The book is available in paperback, hardcover, and a rare Collector’s Edition. Limited to 200 copies, the Collector's Edition is numbered and hand-stamped with an original grocery-themed artwork by Peter Arkle, whose drawings have previously appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and TIME. Arkle's work is also displayed at a Trader Joe's store in New York's East Village, as featured in The Art of Trader Joe's.
About the author
Julie Averbach holds a B.A. in History of Art and Psychology summa cum laude from Yale University. The Art of Trader Joe’s draws on her award-winning thesis titled “Collecting Worlds: Trader Joe’s as a Contemporary Cabinet of Curiosities.” Averbach is the Founder & CEO of smARTee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides live virtual art museum tours to promote arts access, wellness, and lifelong learning. To date, Averbach has researched, curated, and led immersive art museum tours for over 5,000 adults from 22 countries. As an arts innovator, Averbach has been featured in The Huffington Post, Yale Alumni Magazine, SiriusXM radio, & more.
